		Mt. Gongga is the highest mountain in Sichuan (7,556 m). It has12 glacier. Hailougou Glacier is the largest one with the lowest altitude (2,850 m) of modern glaciers. Its icefall ( 1,000 m height and 1,100 m width) is 10 times bigger than the world famous Huangguoshu Cataract . There are fantastic scenes of ice bridge, ice hall, ice mushroom, ice lake, ice river etc. Nearby the glacier there are hot springs , hot waterfalls with a temperature of 90o C. The checkerboard pattern of streets and lanes follow the watercourse, giving the village a unique overall appearance.

This huge buildings, which resemble fortresses and are usually as high as 5-storey-buildings, are called earth buildings because of their height and their strong, outer shell which is made up of earth.tulou first appeared about 1,200 years ago,round houses made of earth of Hakkas Nationality .the Hakka people tried to maintain their own culture and way of life, keeping their own unique dialect, custom and cuisine.They built the earth complexes to guard against invasion from local bandits and to protect their children from the influence of local communities.All the families of a Hakka clan lived together in an enclosed earth building.The tulou has various functions for people's everyday lives .

This stretch along the Li River is probably the most renowned and popular. There are river cruises available and in fact, the Guilin-Yangshuo boat ride passes through this area. There is also a 24km (5 to 6 hours) track for easy hiking along the Li river. The walk is a far more peaceful way to enjoy the Li river and mountain scenery than the loud noisy boat down the river. It takes you along the pebbly shores of the river, through many small villages, fields and bamboo forests. If you get tired, you can always rent a bamboo raft to float down the river.

		the Yellow Cloth Shoal:The cliffs become steeper while the water becomes wider and calmer. The water is so limpid that the reflection of a yellow flat flagstone can be seen on the water. It resembles a yellow cloth spreading there, hence the name Yellow Cloth Shoal. It is the best place to view the reflection of peaks in the water.

180pano	QTVR	The picturesque Shudou Lake in Xianggelila at Baishuitai, Yunnan, China.
		Shudou Lake lies in the mountains to the east of Shangri-La at an elevation of 3,700 m，Its name in Tibetan means "good yak butter, good grass" which is not surprising since it lies near "Yak Butter Mountain." It is nearly round being about a mile in diameter. It lies in a bowl amid surrounding high hills that are covered with conifers. The lake probably formed from glaciers in the last ice age about 10,000 years ago. Most of the lower slopes are devoid of trees and are green due to a lush growth of grass.

A bit further away are the Shudou and Bita Lake.Both the road to Diqing and the road to Lijiang wind down to the Jinsha, which at Qiaotou begins its journey through the Tiger Leaping Gorge.

		The Golden Palace is called "the World Asgard". This is the main large scale palace in the mountains and is well-preserved.The whole building is covered with cast coppers except the base of the palace. So seen from the distance, the Golden Palace is brilliant and magnificent.Over the years the palace has suffered from wind, frost, rain and snow, but still in perfect condition. You can climb up the top of the palace to see the sunrise at dawn and enjoy a cloud-sea at dusk.
